Water & Fire

The commissioned painting I’ve been working on for the last 6 months is finally finished and will be travelling with me tomorrow morning to its new home in New York city. For the next 4 weeks, I will be visiting friends and family in New York and Toronto. Very much excited to see them all again. I will have my lap top with me and hopefully regular access to a hot spot so that I can update you with my art related activities. Until then, here is a preview of the Erhu Twins:

Erhu Twins : Fire and Water, Oil on Wood Panel

*note: the original painting is a lot more vivid than my disappointing photo. I will take better photos of it when its hung up in its new home.

  1. Wish I could see the original!!!!
Upload a better photo when you get the chance; I want to see the detail…!
Looks great though. Have a good and safe trip =)

  2. The whole picture is great but I really do love it when you paint butterflies.

They always look amazing, fluttering across the canvas (well, wood) like they do.

    Excellent work.

    1. Thank you skyraftwanderer!I will be including more butterflies in the next one…a wooden tryptich with a similar theme but different instruments.
